Science Alive! The New Zealand Science Centre

Science AliveMission

Science Alive’s mission is to inspire, excite, challenge and inform people of all ages by creating awareness and understanding of science and technology.

Description

Science Alive! is a not-for-profit trust, dedicated to educating the public about science and technology within the Canterbury region. The Science Alive building was demolished after the 2011 Canterbury Earthquake; plans are underway for a new science centre. We presently continue our important work with outreach programmes and events within the community. We have a dedicated team who visit schools, libraries, malls and run special events; providing opportunities for children, youth and adults to explore science. All our programmes are developed and run by our team of experienced teachers and scientists. We aim to make science accessible to all, stimulating interest and fostering confidence.
