Last, springing from the gracious and generous initiative of The National Taiwan Science Education Center (NTSEC) led by Dr. Nelson Chu (as the Chef on the photo with TM Lim, ASPAC President) about 36 heads of ASPAC member institutions visited Taiwan to get a foretaste of ASPAC 2018. Indeed, it was a feast for the senses and the mind as they were treated to a North to South journey to visit Taiwan's beautiful and dynamic museums. The representatives were brought to the National Museum of Marine Science and Technology, NTSEC, Taipei Astronomical Museum, National Museum of Natural Science, National Science and Technology Museum and the National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium. On the last night, an impromptu conga line emerged from the farewell celebrations, celebrating unique friendships forged in ASPAC as well as to thank Alan Brien for his friendship and leadership as he retires from Scitech Australia. The theme of ASPAC 2018 in September is "Innovative Science Cuisine". That should be more than enough to get all of your minds and tastebuds to plan to attend ASPAC 2018! Our bow of gratitude to Nelson and his fantastic team for this pre-ASPAC fellowship! Stay tuned for more as NTSEC plans and updates us.
