The APEC Science Centre Impact Project

This project invites science centres and museums, in all APEC economies, to participate in a three-year program of surveys, research studies, seminars and workshops to understand and enhance the impacts of science centres and museums across the APEC region through regional cooperation and networking.

In particular, the project will obtain, analyse and share data about the personal, community, economic and policy development impacts of science centres and museums, and capture and disseminate best-practice approaches across the APEC region.

The scope of the project was discussed by delegates from 16 APEC economies at the project scoping meeting in Hong Kong in December 2004.
